About PhotoTune
PhotoTune is a portrait retouch app for iPhone. It smooths skin without erasing its texture, and saves an edit as a Preset that can be applied to the next photo. It is made and run independently, and this site, phototune.app, is its only website.
Which PhotoTune this is
Several unrelated apps and websites use a similar name. This one is the iPhone app whose
bundle identifier is app.phototune, whose website is phototune.app and whose
support address is [email protected]. It has
no Android app, no web editor and no desktop version, so anything offering one under this
name is not us.
The App Store listing is here.
The rules it is built to
These are enforced in the app's code, not left to a setting.
- Skin keeps its texture. Smoothing always retains at least 0.35 of the fine-detail layer, even at full strength.
- Nothing reshapes a face on its own. The only tool that changes a shape is Reshape, a brush that moves what you drag. A Preset cannot carry a reshape to another photo.
- Retouching stays on the phone. Skin, healing, whitening, light and colour run on the iPhone with no connection. A network audit of one full edit-and-export session on 30 August 2026 recorded no request carrying image data.
- The AI tools say when they send a photo. The 10 AI tools need a model too large for a phone, so tapping one sends that photo to our service, which does not store it. Nothing you do not tap is sent.
- No watermark, at any price, including during the trial.
The safety page and the privacy policy have the detail behind each of these.
How this site is written
- Every screenshot of the app is a capture of the app. A before and after is made by running the tool, never drawn or generated.
- The site claims no ratings, reviews or user numbers, because it has none to report yet.
- What the guides say about other companies' software comes from those companies' own pages, linked and dated, and each guide says where our own tool is the weaker choice.
- Prices on the site are the list prices in US dollars; the App Store shows yours.
